Host Your Next Event at the Ipswich Inn
Whether you’re planning a wedding rehearsal, milestone birthday, team meeting, or something in between, the Ipswich Inn is the perfect place to gather. Our sun-filled, glass-enclosed dining room offers a warm and inviting space for events of up to 40 guests indoors, with seating for up to 50 when using the seasonal deck. During warmer months, our tented outdoor patio and garden area provide even more room to celebrate and enjoy the view.
We’re set up for all kinds of occasions—rehearsal dinners, showers, reunions, anniversaries, business retreats, life celebrations, and more. And if you have guests coming in from out of town, we have 10 charming guest rooms available right on site, each with its own private bathroom.
We’ve partnered with several excellent local caterers, and all of our event menus are fully customizable—so whether you’re dreaming of comfort food classics, elegant hors d’oeuvres, or fun themed “bars” (hello, Mimosa Station or Ice Cream Sundae Bar), we’ll help you make it happen.
Decor is flexible, too! Feel free to get creative with flowers and table designs—we’re always happy to help coordinate layouts and make sure there’s plenty of space for buffets, drinks, or dessert tables.
Event Details at a Glance
- Guest count: We recommend a minimum of 25 guests; maximum is 50
- Indoor dining room: Seats up to 40
- Seasonal outdoor deck: Adds additional seating (spring–fall)
- Garden/lawn access: Great for mingling and photos
- Event times: Available after 2pm (3pm on Sundays); all events must conclude by 9:00 PM
- Alcohol Policy: We’re a BYOB establishment. You’re welcome to bring your own beer, wine, or spirits. We’ll provide glasses. (Please enjoy responsibly!)

From the moment we opened the door to our room we were very impressed! The room was … More very big with a kitchenette, very high ceilings, a large full bathroom and beautiful decor. I remarked to my friend that the beds, pillows, and linens reminded me of The Four Seasons!
In the morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast at the cafe which has an oversized deck and beautiful indoor space all surrounded by gorgeous gardens.
